Who we are
The "Open Heart" program is a cooperation initiative between doctors specializing in the areas of cardiology and cardiovascular surgery based in Honduras and the United States.
Seeking to establish a cardiovascular program of excellence at the National Cardiopulmonary Institute "Chest Hospital" (part of the public healthcare system) in Tegucigalpa, the capital city of Honduras.
Why Honduras
Honduras is a country located in the Central area of the American Continent, its population exceeds the 10.8 million people.
With cardiovascular diseases, in general, the most common cause of mortality.
